Worth the money
I bought this for my 9 year old for Christmas. I am buying this as a toy, if he shows acumen and interest in lessons then I will fork over the bucks for a top quality snare and invest more in a drum set as my confidence in my son's passion for drums builds. Right now I think the reason my son wants a drum set is due to "Animal" from the Muppets.
Ok, now to the set. First I must say that I am impressed at the quality for the money. I put this together a few weeks out of fear that there might be a part missing and I would need to contact the seller (there is only one seller for this set and they have a good reputation for handling stuff like this). There were no missing parts. Anyway, I have a prime account and got the set in 2 days with free shipping.
Assembly: I know nothing about drums and this is a pretty easy set to assemble - 15-20 minutes I would say is average assembly time. The main task is assembling the bass drum. The Tom drum and snare come...

For the budding rock star
Bought this item for my young grandsons. They love it, not so sure about the parents. We had some problems with pieces missing or broken upon delivery , but the vendor was very apologetic and responsive. The product is great for any child who fancies themselves Ringo Starr.
Drum set
Perfect for our 8 year old. Took about an hour to put together. Sturdy enough for our 13 year old too. They don't beat on them but good enough to learn with.
