It Is Okay
This product is great, for beginners. If you don't hit them hard, the cymbals could be okay for a short while. But after I pounded on them, they began to dent, which nobody likes. It didn't make a big difference. The drums are great if tuned properly and I got a nice shiny blue set. What they are is worth the money, unless you like to hit the cymbals.

You get what you pay for...
The hardware is flimsy and breaks easily; the red sheet of film that covers the casing does not adhere well to the actual casing of the drum. It seems cheaply made. All that said, our 8 yo son is enjoying playing his heart out...
Great Beginner Set
Bought this for my 12 year old son's birthday and it worked out great. The set comes in one large box, and the outer box was a little beat up when it arrived. Fortunately, nothing inside was damaged.
The set took about 2 hours total to get completely set up as everything comes in pieces (that's how they made it fit in one box!). The cymbals and stands were easy, installing all the drum heads and getting them tightended down took some time, but all went together as planned. The instructions that came with the set were helpful, but not very detailed.
The quality of the set seems very good for the price, especially the drums themselves. The drum shells seem well constructed, and the finish was smooth and shiny...my son thought it looked "awesome"! The only reason I took away one star on the rating is the cymbals. As others have mentioned, they are rather thin and just don't sound all that great.
